沙巴民主行动党要求政府认真地看待那些极度贫困，并且得不到关注的土著贫穷家庭。

沙行动党福利和社区发展局主任杰菲利古明前往孟加达多波本甘榜(Menggatal, Tebobon)附近的拉道村(Ratau village)进行访问，他发现在多波本学校对面有五个家庭，他们生活在一个极贫穷和环境糟糕的状况下。 这项活动是民主行动党推动的‘发掘赤贫人士’活动，主要是前往实地访问需要帮助的赤贫人士。

Sabah DAP calls on the government to look seriously into the plight of the hardcore poor which are not getting due attention. 

The Sabah DAP Welfare and Rural Development Bureau chief Jeffrey Kumin  who made a recent  visit  to the Ratau village near Tebobon, Menggatal where he found 5 families living opposite SMK Tebobon in a very poor and shameful condition. This is part of the activities launched by the DAP under the program “Cari Orang Miskin”. 

According to Jeffrey who is also the DAP Sepanggar branch chairman, the five families which total up to about 50 people have been staying there for the last seven years without electricity and water supply, and they are all KDMs.

Julita Seriong, a single mother who have five school going children complained that although she receives RM300.00 monthly from the Welfare department, it was not enough for her to cover all her household expenses. According to her, only one time the Inanam Assemblyman visited them, but their visit was to invite them to attend a kaamatan event. 

Another villager, Yaintomi Binti Jumibal who have two children also complained that even though she was a widow, she could not get welfare aids from the Welfare department as she did not know how to apply. Jeffrey urged the Welfare department to “turun padang” to search for the deserving hardcore poor people who need aids urgently. There are lots of them who failed to receive aids because they are illiterate and ignorance. 

During the visit, Jeffrey discovered a seventeen years old girl who did not have a birth certificate and MyKad. The girl’s mother had tried to apply for the documents in the last six years but was unsuccessful. According to the villagers, they have no money, but they are also living in fear because they already received warning notices to vacate their houses and move out from the area, and failing which they will be forced out at any time. The villagers plead to the relevant authorities to help them to get a low cost house as soon as possible and to lessen their burden.      

This is truly another sad story involving the hardcore poor, and this time is just only 15KM from KK in Toboban, Menggatal. How is the government going to answer this, and are they going to keep on announcing eradication of poverty in 2010? Jeffrey Kumin said the Sabah DAP team to search for hardcore poor people will enter to the interior area of Tambunan district next. We need to do something for our poor KDM folks.

赤贫土著家庭

沙行动党福利和社区发展局主任杰菲利古明前往孟加达多波本甘榜(Menggatal, Tebobon)附近的拉道村(Ratau village)进行访问，他发现在多波本学校对面有五个家庭，他们生活在一个极贫穷和环境糟糕的状况下。 这项活动是民主行动党推动的‘发掘赤贫人士’活动，主要是前往实地访问需要帮助的赤贫人士。

根据杰菲利说，该五个家庭共约有五十多成员，他们在过去的七年里都生活在没有水电供应的困境里，而且他们都是卡达山族群。 

其中一位单亲妈妈朱利塔瑟珑(Julita Seriong)向杰菲利抱怨说，她有五个正在求学的孩子，虽然她每个月从福利部取得马币三百的援助金，是不足够支付家庭的开销。  据她说，到今天为止下南南州议员只有一次前来拜访，因为是要邀请他们参加他所举办的丰收节活动，之后就没有再看见他们了。
另一位村妇亚朵米朱米芭(Yaintomi Binti Jumibal)也抱怨说，她是位寡妇并且有两个孩子，但是她无法获得福利部的援助，这是因为她不知道如何申请，而且也没有人到他们那里帮助他们进行申请。 杰菲利敦促福利部必须要亲自实地走访，调查类似的状况和协助迫切需要帮助的赤贫人士。因为有些人是文盲和不懂如何申请，所以还有许多人没有获得援助。 

在查访的期间，杰菲利发现有一位17岁的女生还没有出生纸和大马卡。 该名女生的母亲在过去六年里曾申请该女生的有关文件，但一直没有成功。  根据村民们说，他们收到通知书，要他们搬离该木屋地区，现在他们随时将会面对迫迁困境。 村民们吁请有关当局帮助他们，让他们能够尽早获得廉价屋的分配以解决他们住所的困境。 

这是一个赤贫的可悲故事，故事中的人物竟是来自离亚庇市区不远约十五公里的孟加达多波本甘榜。  请问政府该如何去处理这个问题？  他们是否会继续宣布于2010年会达到“零贫穷率”？   杰菲利说，沙巴州民主行动党的团队将前往担布南内陆地区实地查访和搜寻该处的赤贫人士，我们要真正的帮助卡达山族的穷人。
