Sabah DAP has uploaded and activated an ‘online petition campaign’ on the internet to seek support from the Malaysian especially from the Sabah native Kadazan-Dusun for the lifting of the ban on the book entitled “The golden son of the Kadazan”. The book was written by the late DAP leader Bernard Sta Maria on the struggle of the late Peter J Mojintin who was killed in the 1976, 6^th of June airplane tragedy that took away the life of the then Sabah Chief Minister Tun Fuad Stephens and along with several Cabinet Ministers.

Sabah DAP deputy Publicity secretary, John Lee Kim Seng said, it is very unfortunate that the BN government imposed a ban on the book on the ground that the book threatened peace and order. Now the natives of Sabah especially the KDMs must come together to urge the BN government to lift the ban of the book with immediate effect as the book talked about the struggle of the Kadazan hero the late Peter J Mojuntin, and his commitment, and his dreams and visions for the people especially the Kadazandusun. This book is very important and inspiring and must be read by the younger generation.

If the banned book “The Malay Dilemma” written by Tun Mahathir Bin Mohamed the former Prime Minister can be lifted, there is no reason the same could be done for “The golden son of the Kadazan”.   The people like the DCM Datuk Joseph Pairin Kittingan, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, Datuk Clarence Bongos Malakun and many others should come forward to make a stand on this issue which is directly related to them.

网络签名解除禁令‘卡达山族之天子’一书 (The Golden Son of the Kadazan)

沙行动党副宣传秘书李金星说，很不幸的是国阵政府该该书施行禁令，理由是该书具有威胁及影响本国的和平与秩序。  沙巴州的卡达山土著必须团结起来，促请国阵政府立即解除对该书的禁令。 这本书的内容主要是描写已故卡达山族英雄彼得马骏丁的奋斗，他的承诺，他的梦想和特别是对卡达山杜顺族群的期望。 这本书是非常重要和具有鼓舞人心的书，也是年轻一代必须阅读的好书。

如果前首相马哈迪医生所著作的‘马来人的困境’一书可以被政府解除其禁令，没有理由‘卡达山族之天子’一书不能被解禁。 像副首长拿督约瑟百林，丹斯里伯纳东博，拿督克拉斯邦克斯和许多其他的卡达山领袖应站出来表明立场，这是因为他们在这项问题上都有直接的关系。
