A serious deficiency in adding fluoride in the water supply in Sabah is the biggest cause of the bad teeth of the younger generations over the past 20 long years. Sabah has the worst case of dental health in the whole Malaysia, if not in the region. This is basically due to the non implementation of the “Fluoridation” in our water supply in Sabah. The fluoride is an important chemical component required for strong teeth growth among the young. The Malaysian Dental Association had also raised the issue. 

In 1985, a Survey of Dental Health of School Children in Sabah was carried out by a special committee on the East coast of Sabah, and a report was presented on the finding with recommendation on the improvement of the status of dental health of the school children of Sabah to the state government. 

In 1989, the then PBS state government took the unfortunate step of “discontinuing” the Fluoridation of Public Water Supplies in Sabah because water is a “state matter”. The Ministry of Health could not do anything besides presenting the Report of the special committee to the committee of the World Health Organization (WHO) that did indeed recommend the “Fluoridation (the optimization of fluoride levels) in the public water supplies. The World Health Organization also noted fluoridation in the water supply is the most cost-effective public health measure known to man.

沙巴州的食水供应未添加氟化物(Fluoridation)，导致在过去二十多年来，深深影响了年轻一代的牙齿健康。 沙巴州是在马来西亚牙齿健康问题最严重的州。 这是因为沙巴州的食水供应没有添加氟化物。 氟化物是一种重要的化学成分，能够加强和帮助牙齿的生长，尤其是对孩童们。马来西亚牙医协会也多次提出该项问题的严重性。 

在1985年，沙巴州成立特别委员会在学校进行儿童口腔及牙齿健康调查。 该项调查报告主要是研究和检讨孩子们的牙齿健康状况，及建议改善的方法，并且已提呈报告给州政府。

不幸的是在1989年沙巴团结党执政的州政府‘终止’沙巴食水添加氟化物，因为食水供应是州政府所管。 卫生部针对在食水未添加氟化物感到措手无策，除了提呈特别委员会的报告到世界卫生组织(WHO）。  该卫生组织也有发表有关添加氟化物及其含量的好处。世界卫生组织还指出在食水添加氟化物是对公众人士的健康有帮助。 

Sabah DAP Keningau Mobile services unit  headed by Sabah DAP liaison chief for Keningau & Tenom, Prof Dr Benjamin Yapp have been moving around the interior areas to inspect road infrastructure conditions that the people of the rural areas have been complaining for the past years but no concrete actions had been taken to resolve their problems. 

There were many places in Keningau that required the authorities concerned to take prompt actions in order to improve the living standard of the rural people. He observed that the villagers and school children were facing transport and communication problems when they have to travel from one village to the next, from homes to the schools and mothers also faced difficulties in sending their sick children to rural clinics when the road conditions in many areas were bad. Sabah DAP Keningau mobile services unit came across a very bad road infrastructure condition along Jalan Kuangoh, Bingkor where the earth road from the junction of the main road leading to Kampung Kuangoh and other villages inside was found to be in bad conditions.

由沙巴民主行动党根地咬/丹南国会选区负责人本杰明叶博士带领根地咬流动服务队，前往内陆区四周的地区视察该处的基本设施，尤其是道路。 在过去数年该处甘榜的居民曾经多次向当局投诉，但是迄今都没有任何行动来解决他们的问题。  

在根地咬有很多的地方，需要有关当局的关注，以改善和提升甘榜的基本设施。 他指出，该处的甘榜的居民和学校的孩子们一直都面对着交通的问题，由于马路的恶劣情况之下，从一个村到另一个村必须要花很长的时间，尤其是送生病的孩子前往诊所更加辛苦。  沙巴行动党流动服务队前往甘榜古阿戈(Kg. Kuangoh, Bingkor)进行探访，发现前往该甘榜的马路是一道非常破烂的马路，而该段马路是主要通道前往甘榜古阿戈和其他邻近甘榜的道路。 

A short few hours of rain is causing serious flood again in Kota Kinabalu, with Inanam, Menggatal, Kolombong, and with many other area under deep flood water. 

The situation is real bad on the stretch of road along Mile 6.5 Tuaran Road. The road surface is filled with 3feet deep of water, while low laying areas where the workshops are located is under 5 feet of water.

The property lost is hard to assess and especial business lost. 

The government is not doing anything in spite of many complaints had been made, and personally I have even highlighted in Parliament concerning the urgency to solve the flood problems in Kota Kinabalu. It is a true demonstration that the government couldn’t border about the well-being of the people. For many years under BN rule now but we see problem becoming worst day by day. The simple flood problem also can’t get solved, how to solve other bigger problem.

短短一个小时的大雨再次造成亚庇市，下南南，孟家达，哥隆邦并其他的地方面对严重淹水，尤其是许多较低的地区。
沿着6.5里的斗亚兰路的马路，该淹水情况实在是非常糟糕。 该段路面大约有三尺深的水，而在附近比较低的商店大概有5尺深的水。 该处店主的财产和生意的损失是难以评估。 

尽管之前有许多投诉，但是政府却没有尽力处理该些问题，而我个人甚至在国会里特别强调，解决亚庇淹水问题的迫切性。 在这事件上我们看到政府根本不关注人民面对的问题。自从国阵政府执政多年，我们看到的问题没有改善，反而日益变得更加糟糕。 像这样简单的淹水事件都不能处理和解决，如何能够期待他们解决其他更大的问题。

这是因为当沙巴反对党民联触及有关国阵政府的问题时而引起市民的共鸣。 六月十九日由民联举办的讲座里，林吉祥获得一份备忘录有关在哥打马鲁都六万公顷的土地被强制的攫取。 看来并不需要很长时间政府将会采取行动着手处理。
沙巴民主行动党知道沙巴人，尤其是哥打马鲁都的人民，非常感激民联能够让他们的土地问题获得解决。 因此安妮塔和沙拉槟要清楚了解知道，是因为林吉祥提及该土地问题而引起拿督穆沙阿曼的关注，因此他们应该感谢的是民联，真正的关注民生问题的政党。 

首席部长已承诺将会解决哥打马鲁都六万公顷的土地问题。 而沙巴民主行动党将会等到拿督慕沙和州政府真正解决了该土地问题后才恭贺他们。 沙巴人非常熟悉1994年巫统执政100天所宣布的承诺，他们曾应许将会发展沙巴州，解决非法移民问题，迄今却是空谈。 如今让我们拭目以待拿督慕沙的承诺实现和解决土地的结果吧。

It is when the opposition Pakatan Rakyat in Sabah touches the issues the BN government is very fast to act on them.  During the “Ceramah Perdana Pakatan Rakyat with Lim Kit Siang” on 19^th June 2010 a memorandum was presented to Sdra Lim Kit Siang for him to raise the 60000 hectare land grab in Kota Marudu in Parliament. It seems that it does not take long for the government to act on it. 

Sabah DAP knows that Sabahans especially the people of Kota Marudu will be thankful to Pakatan Rakyat when this land issue is resolved. It is therefore important for Anita and Sarapin to realise and offer their thanks to Pakatan Rakyat in particular Sdra Lim Kit Siang for getting the attention of Datuk Musa Aman. 

The Chief Minister has promised to solve this 60000-ha land problem in Kota Marudu. Sabah DAP will only congratulate Datuk Musa and the government when the issue is solved. Sabahans are quite familiar with UMNO 100-day promises to develop Sabah and solve the problem of illegal immigrants when it came to power in 1994. Let us wait and see the outcome of this promise. 

Sabah DAP Kota Kinabalu Parliament Liaison Committee has appointed Junz Wong, a bright young man as its Youth chief to manage its youth wing, and Monica Shiau as the women chief. The two young professional are active member and totally devoted to the young peoples movement in the Sabah DAP. 

In welcoming them, Dr. Hiew said their appointment will definitely strengthen the organization of the DAP in Sabah. More and more young people have signed up to be a DAP member in order to move towards building a strong team for a new government in the future. This is positive towards a new future in Sabah and Malaysia with brighter hopes.

沙巴民主行动党亚庇国会选区今天委任两位位年轻有为的青年，由王鸿俊(Junz Wong)担任亚庇国会选区青年团团长，以及莫妮卡萧(Monica Shiau)担任妇女组主席。 这两位年轻人是非常积极的党员，并完全投入于沙巴行动党的青年及妇女活动。

沙行动党州主席邱庆洲博士非常赏识他们的才干，并给于重任掌管党在亚庇国会选区的青年和妇女组织。他说他们的参与将会胜任，也必定会加强沙巴民主行动党的组织。 将会有越来越多的年轻人加入成为行动党的党员，以便成立一支更强大的团队，一起迈向建立新政府。 我们要积极争取，为沙巴州和马来西亚带来新的展望与光明。
