Sabah DAP would like to congratulate Sdra Mohamad Mentek the first Sabahan to be appointed Director of Immigration Sabah effective August 14th, 2010. As a professional civil servant we hope Sdra Mohamad will utilize his years of experience and local knowledge in combating the problem of illegal immigrants in Sabah. Sabah DAP hopes that this is not a one-off appointment and is aimed at pleasing the Sabah people because of the pending 13th general election. Like the appointment of a Sabahan to the Directorship of the State National Registration Department (NRD), Sabah DAP would like to see Sabahans being groomed to continue heading these departments. This event is to help the QEH blood bank to store enough blood supply for QEH. 沙巴州亚庇国会选区青年团将与伊利沙白中央医院血库年联合举办一项捐血慈善活动，地点是在城中城，日期是在8月29日从上午十一时至下午五时。 此举是帮助伊利沙白中央医院血库提供足够的血液供应。

Sabah DAP Vice Chairman, Edward Ewol Mujie said he noted with great interest that the Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister of Infrastructure Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan has visited Kampung Garau where the construction of 119 concrete houses for the villagers who are affected by the construction of the Milau Dam, to be resettled. However, Edward said what Pairin has said during his visit was actually exposing the weakness of the BN Government for not taking stern action against the defaulting contractors. This is not the only projects that has been delayed and did not follow specifications, and yet the defaulting contractors are either being allowed to go free or they are even given additional allocation to complete the projects, he said. 然而爱德华说，拜林在他的探访期间，实际上这暴露了国阵政府对拖欠的建筑商并没有采取严厉行动。这些工程不单只被延迟，同时也没有遵照工程规则。 他说那些拖欠的建筑商/承包商不单没有面对严厉的对付，甚至被给予额外的拨款来完成该些工程。

沙巴民主行动党斗亚兰支部负责人刘辉坚在进行‘寻找赤贫人士’活动时，接到投诉有关“亲民房屋计划”(Rumah Mesra Rakyat Programme) 。 来自斗亚兰甘榜丹戎(Kg. Tanjung, Tuaran)李富刚先生Lee Fook Kong(释音)告诉刘氏说他是位渔夫，而他的收入仅能养活他一家人口，根本没有多余的钱来建房屋。 因此他向國家房屋公司（SPNB）申请该项房屋计划，并在去年获得批准兴建房屋。 然而该座房屋于去年五月开始兴建，但是却在七月间停工停建，迄今仍然没有施工的迹象。 李先生多次向SPNB询问房屋什么时候可以建好，都一直没有获得肯定的回复，到目前只建了屋身和屋顶（见图1），因此他向沙行动党寻求帮助，希望能够获得解决。 Sabah DAP Tuaran branch Chief Peter Liew received complaints regarding "Rumah Mesra Rakyat Programme” while he conducted a visit at Tuanran under “Cari Orang Miskin” program. Mr. Lee Fook Kong from Kampung Tanjung, Tuaran told Liew that he is a fisherman, and his income only can support his family, and there is no extra money for construction of housing. Therefore he has applied to Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) for the “Rumah Mesra Rakyat Programme” and the application approved. However, the house was under construction last May, but has stop in July, 2009(see pic 1), until today there is no sign of continuation. Lee repeatedly asked SPNB when the house can be finish, but received no response. He approached Sabah DAP for help to solve his problem.

Sabah DAP would like to thank EPF General Manager Nik Affendi Jaafar for clarifying the case of Madam Tan Ah Kee whose identification card number is been shared with a man, Mohd Dahlan Saida. It is saddening that instead of apologising to Madam Tan for the inconvenience caused, Nik Affendi defend his organisation by saying that her case has been solved since April. The fact that Madam Tan came to Sabah DAP for assistance is good enough to inform EPF and the general public that her case is not solved yet. Sabah DAP feels that Madam Tan has no reason to lie that she was asked to refer to Kuala Lumpur about her case. This is a very serious case.

有关于拿督奥斯曼加马处理哥打马鲁都和必达士约60,000公亩土地的事件，沙行动党想请问拿督，既然北沙巴纸浆和造纸工程已经转移到实必丹，为何这片土地不能发给该处村民用于耕种？ 为何政府却把该土地发给SAFODA与Begaray Sdn. Bhd. 私人公司植种树林？ 植种树林对该处的居民和社区根本是没有利益。 土地对土著而言是非常重要。在法律上承认土著地是土著合法的拥有者，不论他们是通过连续占用或多次连续用于耕种。 可悲的是国阵政府并没有善待当地的土著，同时也不尊重这项法律规定。 Concerning the disputed 60,000 hectares of land in Kota Marudu and Pitas which was touched on by Datuk Jamal Osman, Sabah DAP would like to ask the Director why this land cannot be alienated to the villagers as the North Sabah pulp and paper project has been shifted to Sipitang. Why should the government give the land to SAFODA and a private company Begaraya Sdn Bhd to start a forest plantation? A forest plantation will not benefit the local community. Land is important to the Natives. It is legally acknowledged that Native customary tenure is the lawful possession of land by Natives either through continuous occupation or cultivation for three or more consecutive years. Sadly the BN government has not been kind to the Natives by not respecting this legal provision. Kota Kinabalu: A 50-year-old local woman got a shock of her life when she found out that she shared her MyKad number with a man, rendering the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) unable to process her application to be a contributor. 徐先生告诉黄氏说他在今年7月中被4名的非法移民严重打伤。 当时该4名非法移民入侵他的房子打劫。徐先生说他的头部，背部和腿部遭到殴打，导致他需要动手术和住院治疗，不过他庆幸自己仍然活着。虽然已经报警，但警方仍然没有任何回应或有任何人被逮捕。 About the middle of July this year Mr Hii was badly injured by four intruders into his house. His head, back and leg was beaten which required surgery and hospitalization. He is thankful that he is still alive. A Police report has been lodged and until now there is no word from the Police of any arrest whatsoever |
